Dear Family,

It is nice that David keeps the Blog going. Shame on the rest of us. I enjoyed reading about your chance encounter with a friend of Kristen's. As it happens, Kristen phoned me the other day. It was nice to talk with her. She was asking about this year's reunion. I plan to get information in the mail this week, but will print information here as well.

It becomes more and more difficult to make it to the reunions, as my schedule gets more and more crowded. Bob retired last year, so one would think that our lives should be getting more and more free. Not so. Bob cannot understand how he ever had time for a full time job, as he has kept busier than he imagined he would in retirement. Honestly, I think that the clocks deceive us. There used to be more hours in a day than there are today!

That said, I am planning the reunion at a time when it is good for us. We will need to swing into Missoula either going or coming to visit Bob's 97-year-old mother. We can be in Declo on Memorial Day. I would like to just have a Memorial Day picnic, and visit with everyone that can be there. I would like to put the meal together myself, but if those who come would like to bring a dessert, go ahead.

A short while ago, Nancy and Garen met up with Bente and BobbiAnn in California. That was nice of you to visit with them, Nancy and Garen and Eric. Bente could not stop talking about it.
We have just had a long visit from Jacob's family. Jacob was getting his house ready for their new baby, number five, who will be born any day now. We sure do miss having them here, and they just left yesterday. They are still enroute to North Carolina.

We have been blessed with a less than severe flood season, although we are still pumping water out of our basement. This promises to be a good Season, as we are eating asparagus and rhubarb already, and we find raspberry plants just jumping out of the ground. The apricot tree is in bloom.

We send our love to all of you. Hopefully, we will see many of you on Memorial Day at Mama's house.
